Courses
We run a regular programme of open courses. All facilitators running IDHP courses, whether a short course or a two-year diploma undertake a Self and Peer Accreditation Process and receive supervision from the IDHP Committee.
There are usually two facilitators running each IDHP course.
You can read our Guidelines for our IDHP Courses.
Click here to see our Calendar of courses, or read more about the individual courses below.
Short courses run throughout the year and are 2-5 days in length.
Certificate Course
The ways of working on a Certificate Programme will include experiential learning, theoretical study, action research and reflective practice, master classes, and skills training and practice.
To attain the IDHP Certificate, candidates can either
- Combine 18 days of short courses with work-based practice and review, Self and Peer Assessment and complete an assignment, equivalent to 5,000 words
- Join a 12 month course – these generally start in January and run for 12 months.
The 2009 Certificate, Learning to Lead, will be run in Bristol.
Diploma Course
The two-year postgraduate Diploma Course, previously Facilitator Styles (or F-Styles) is our signature course, well known for producing highly-skilled, self-aware leaders and facilitators. In recent years, course leaders have covered facilitation basics with an additional focus, e.g. Advanced Change Management, Coaching, Leadership.
Applications are now being taken for the 2010 Diploma.
