Our Meetings
We meet regularly to accredit, support and supervise all IDHP accredited courses and facilitators. We are a virtual organisation. Our meeting times and venues are negotiated and arranged by the Committee members. Recently we have been meeting every 6 weeks in Oxfordshire.
Graduates of the diploma course and guests of the committee are welcome to attend and should contact a committee member for details and dates. The fee for all graduates/guests attending a committee meeting is £30 - this includes lunch and a share of venue hire. There may be opportunities for supervision on the day.
Our meetings balance our need for “business” and “process” i.e. reviewing and supervising courses and reflection on how we are working together. Generally the mornings are given over to business – updating ourselves on courses and procedures and our afternoon are reserved for relational and process issues.
For a typical day, our agenda would be:
- Check-in
- Forming an Agenda for the day
- Selecting a facilitator to help us move through the morning's business agenda
- Receiving course up-dates and reports from ongoing projects; fielding general proposals or envisioning future activities etc
- Giving feedback to the facilitator
- Selecting a facilitator to help us move through the process agenda
- Performing self and peer assessment; receiving supervision; performing community process or peer supervision
- Giving feedback to the facilitator
